Frederic Kanoute, Sevilla

Frederic Kanoute is a muslim soccer striker who plays for Sevilla in La Liga, Spain. Oumar Kanoute was named the 2007 African Footbaler of the Year. He spent more than US$700,000 to buy mosque for local muslim population in Spain.

    Kanoute is known to be a pious muslim, he used to leave football training when prayer time came and that lead to practice disruption, his coach threatened to deduct his salaray and kanoute didn't mind, and so when the coach so it was useless, he made the whole team stop from practicing when prayer time was due! what a beautiful example we muslims should learn from.

    Kanoute is one of my favorite soccer players. Many people would incline for Messi or Ronaldo, but if you pay attention, Kanoute's numbers on Spain are almostas good as Messi's!
